Edward Grady (E. G. ) Carroll was born April 24, 1879 in Walker County Georgia to T. E. Carroll and Tennie Parris. He served in the United States Army from August 15, 1917 to July 12, 1919 and achieved the rank of 2nd Lieutenant. He married Vinnye Leal Miller. Carroll practiced law in CHattanooga, Tennessee. He died on February 21, 1955 in CHattanooga and is buried at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
