The This is Chattanooga: Portrait of a City in Transition is a collaborative project coordinated by University of Tennessee at Chattanooga faculty from the Library and Departments of Computer Science, Art, Social Work, and Anthropology. The project's aim is to examine the evolving nature of Chattanooga and the effects on the city's inhabitants and its infrastructure.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

University of Tennessee at Chattanooga graduate students enrolled in Professor Amy Doolittle's Social Work Research course in partnership with a UTC Engaged: Arts, Innovation, and Activation grant project team, conducted the interviews with residents of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Each interviewer and interviewee donated their recordings, transcriptions, and/or summary information about the oral history to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 2017.
